LISD to Receive $17.4 Million - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock Independent School District received the largest grant in its history, Thursday afternoon. And over the next six years, LISD could bring in up to $17.4 million.

It's part of the Reading First Grant program. The money is to be used to fund a core reading program at 18- LISD campuses.

In exchange, the district will be required to meet state and federal guidelines to continue receiving the money.
