Lubbock City Council Approves LIA Academy

You may soon see more fire training exercises at the Lubbock International Airport.

On Thursday, the Lubbock City Council approved an agreement that would allow LIA to open its Firefighting Academy to other students across the country.

LIA will receive at least $12,000 to conduct the training.
