Some Lubbock Power and Light customers were in the dark after a short power outage in southwest Lubbock Saturday afternoon.
The outage affected homes and business from Quaker Avenue and the South Loop, to 82nd Street and Indiana Avenue. Assistant Director of LP&L, Darrell Oliver says the power was knocked out after a tree limb fell on a power line in southwest Lubbock.
The power went out around 3pm Saturday and was restored to the area within the hour. Oliver said that about 250 customers were affected, LP&L serves almost 62,000 customers.
