If you are in search of a new furry family member, you're in luck. It's pet adoption weekend at the PetSmart parking lot near the South Loop and Slide. Don't worry about finding the right pet, there are almost 100 little creatures in need of a new home.The price of the adoptions range from 80 dollars to 135 dollars.
The reason for the pet adoption day is simple, "Its important to adopt pets because we are trying to save as many lives as possible because pets are priceless" says, Ericka Lopez who is employed with PetSmart
Lopez says there are 10 adoption agencies across Lubbock out this weekend. And if you didn't get a chance to stop by Saturday you can go Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. to help these little animals find a new home.
