The Lubbock Public Transit Advisory Board has approved a change in fares for Citi-Access clients. Citibus General Manger, John Wilson says the change will only affect a small group of people who travel outside the regular routes.
Those riders will now have to pay a $4 one way fee, it was previously $2. While it sounds like an increase, Citibus says it is still saving its patrons money. The cost of providing a ride outside the regular service area is actually $8. The new Citi-Access fare goes into effect October 1st and will be reviewed next year.
