May is Motorcycle Awareness Month

Posted: Updated:

May is National Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month. Texas Department of Public Safety says drivers should check their blind spots and give motorcycles extra space because they are smaller and can be hard to spot on the road.

In 2009, more than 500 riders died on Texas roads. Next Saturday, Hub City riders will hit the streets for the second See Us, Save Us Rally. If you would like to participate in the ride, kick-stands will go up at 10 a.m. at the South Plains Mall.
