A former Lubbock woman's crusade to take on Wal-Mart is now being heard by a San Francisco judge.
We first told you about this lawsuit back in June of 2001. That's when former Lubbock Wal-Mart employee, Stephanie Odle, joined five others in filing the lawsuit. They allege that despite all their hard work, promotions and raises passed them by, just because they are women.
Wednesday, attorneys for all six went before a judge to elevate their case to a class action lawsuit. That would cover all female employees since December of 1998, adding about one and a-half million plaintiffs to the case.
The judge is not expected to rule immediately on the case.
