Lubbock Police continue to search for a man who escaped from a patrol car in northwest Lubbock early Tuesday morning.  They are looking for Jermane Manahan.

Police arrested Manahan around 1:30 a.m. after they responded to a domestic dispute at an apartment complex near 4th Street and the west Loop 289.

"While officers were continuing their investigation and trying to control the scene and dealing with distractions with other subjects, apparently a relative approached the police car and let him out of the car," Lubbock Police Sergeant Jonathan Stewart said.

Police did find the person accused of letting Manahan out of the car. They're now charged with hindering apprehension, but police have not been able to find Manahan.

If you know where he is, or how to find him, call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
