Lubbock company buys cable systems in 4 towns

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock-based NTS Communications announced Tuesday that it bought the Cobridge Telecom cable system in Levelland, Littlefield, Morton and Colorado City.

"With this acquisition, in these markets, we will be the only provider of subscription video excluding satellite," said Guy Nissenson, President and CEO of NTS Communication's parent company, Xfone.  Nissenson says NTS will also offer high speed Internet and other digital services.

NTS says it's approximately 2,400 households.  Cobridge is a St. Louis-based company that operates in several states.  NTS did not disclose the purchase price and the deal is expected close in June.
