Firefighters Use Jaws to Save Woman

Authorities say failure to yield the right of way caused a traffic crash near Shallowater, Monday afternoon.

According to police, the 55-year-old driver of a Suburban did not yield the right of way when trying to turn onto Highway 84. That's when her SUV was struck by a GMC truck going West on 84.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to pull the driver of the Suburban out of the vehicle and EMS took the driver of the Suburban and an elderly couple from the truck to Covenant Medical Center with moderate injuries.
