Fifth grade students are participating in the "Learning to be Water Wise" program at Lubbock Cooper Intermediate School.
Students learned where water came from and how to conserve it. Each child who participates receives a kit which includes a water-efficient shower head and faucet. The goal is to teach children how to save water so they can pass the habit onto their parents and siblings.
The program is sponsored by the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District in Lubbock.
