Frenship ISD Selects An Architect

Frenship ISD is set to move forward with the design phase of its $46.8 million bond. On Tuesday, Frenship board members hired the SHW Group out of Dallas-Fort Worth as the architecture firm for the new schools.

Board members are still trying to decide where the new elementary and middle schools will be located, but they do plan on starting construction by May so the schools are able to open by the Fall of 2005. Over the next several weeks, board members will be looking for a construction company to build the new schools and make the renovations to the existing campuses.

The construction and renovations are part of the multi-million dollar bond which Frenship ISD voters approved last Saturday. Board members certified the final election results Tuesday, with 1,001 votes for the bond and 322 against.
