Lubbock Police continue their investigation into a Thursday morning wreck that sent a seven-year old-girl to the hospital with critical injuries.
Sgt. John Hayes of the Lubbock Police Department said, "The little girl that's in the most critical condition right now, initially she was assessed to be of moderate injuries, and then apparently on the way to the hospital she started taking a turn for the worse."
Investigators at the scene of the accident believe the driver of a Dodge van failed to yield the right of way at 34th and Quaker around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
The Dodge collided with a Chevrolet van, causing the Chevy to roll on it's side. The seven-year-old was inside the Chevy. Police are trying to figure out if she was properly restrained.
Four other people were injured in the accident and authorities continue to investigate what happened.
