Nobody was in the castle at the time, according to a press release from the Tucson Fire Department, but people were hit by pieces of equipment, including parts of the compressor.

The the jumping castle was whipped by the wind, became airborne and wrapped around a pole. The six people were evaluated at the scene for minor injuries.

A 16-year-old boy was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

It's the third recent case of injuries caused by jumping castles taken away by the wind.

  • In April, a 9-year-old girl suffered a broken shoulder, a broken leg and a broken jaw after the jumping castle she was in was lifted off the ground landed on Speedway Boulevard.
  • A 10-year-old girl in Marana received head injuries in February when she fell out of one after it was lifted by wind.
