LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Officers continue to investigate what caused a woman to run over her husband with her truck. Lubbock Police accident investigators were called to the 8100 block of Avenue V Saturday around 8:30 a.m.

Sgt. John Hayes says that Juan Ramon Martinez was standing next to the passenger side of the truck. At some point, he and his wife Lydia started to argue. Investigators believe his wife accelerated and ran over her husband.

She drove away from the scene but was located a short time after the incident.

Juan Martinez was taken to University Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Police arrested his wife and now faces a charge of intoxicated assault.
