UPDATE: Odessa man charged with capital murder

A suspect held at the Lubbock Police Department could be connected to a double homicide in Odessa.

Police arrested 27-year-old James Burwell at the Howard Johnson near 50th and Q. just before 11:00 a.m. Monday morning. Burwell is being charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The vehicle that reportedly was stolen belonged to a man and woman who were found dead in their Odessa home around 8:45 Monday morning. 

The Odessa American reports that investigators used On-Star to track the vehicle to Lubbock.

UPDATE:

James Burwell now faces capital murder charges. He is charged with the deaths of Dick and Peggy Glover of Odessa. They were found dead inside their home around 8:45 a.m. Monday.

Burwell has been taken to jail in Odessa.
