Monterey Student Remains Comatose

A Monterey High school student is improving after a fatal crash which killed her friend.

Shanna Davis is still in a coma, but has been upgraded to serious condition and was moved out of intensive care.

15-year-old Janell Aboushadid, died in the September 27th accident, which occurred when Aboushadid, Davis and 16-year-old Courtney Ward were coming home from a football game in Odessa.

Ward was the driver of the car that rolled on Highway 385, just north of Seminole. Ward was treated and released from Seminole hospital.
