Jury Selection Underway In Lubbock Murder Trial

Jury selection began Monday in the Lubbock murder trial of Pedro Chavez. Chavez is charged with the shooting death of his friend, 36-year-old Joe Martinez.

According to police, 27-year-old Chavez shot Martinez four times following an argument. It happened on December 19, 2002, in front of a friend's house in the 2300 block of 32nd street.

Jury selection continues Tuesday.
