Murder Trial Underway In Shooting Death of Lubbock Man - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

With a jury now selected and in place, testimony began in the murder trial of Pedro Chavez on Tuesday morning.

Chavez is charged with the shooting death of his friend, 36-year-old Joe Martinez. According to police, 27-year-old Chavez shot Martinez four times following an argument last December.

Tuesday the prosecution called several witnesses, including the victim's father. Testimony in this case continues Wednesday.
