Third seeded Texas tech club baseball's first ever appearance in the NCBA World Series in Columbus, Georgia came to an end Thursday. The Red Raiders lost to Florida State for the 22nd straight day, this time 2-1. Tech won their first 2 games in the tourney beating Iowa and Western Washington, but the Seminoles topped them twice.
Tech took a 1-0 lead over FSU in the third, but the Seminoles plated single runs in the 66th and 7th to get the 2-1 win. Tech left 8 runners on base. Dustin Schurr had the lone RBI for the Red Raiders who finish up the season 23-11.
Florida State and East Carolina will meet for the National Club Baseball Championship.
