Lubbock Citizens Share Concern Over Dangerous Dogs

On Tuesday morning at a public meeting Lubbock Animal Services assured concerned citizens there are steps you can take before a tragedy occurs, and it all starts with a written complaint.

"There will be a hearing held to determine whether that is truly a dangerous animal or not," said Jamey Cantrell, Lubbock Animal Services Manager. "If it is, then there are several options we can take, like telling people they have to remove the animal from the city limits or make other restrictions, like they have to make an escape roof and closure where the animal is kept."

If you have questions, or would like to report a dangerous animal living in your neighborhood, Contact Lubbock Animal Services at (806) 775-2057.
