When it comes to serving your country, a good soldier must be prepared for anything. At Texas Tech Wednesday, Cadets in the Army ROTC took part in the Special Operations Swim Trials. Each of the Cadets endured a variety of obstacles to build confidence, mold their leadership skills and develop skills that will help them in a combat situation.
Second Lt. Jeffrey Johnson, Army ROTC, "The actual strenuous physical activity that they do and how they overcome that knowing that they have their comrades there to help them out."
Wednesday's event is modeled after the swim trials used to evaluate and qualify the Army's green berets.
