Missing Homeowner Arrested Following House Fire

The 68-year-old man reported missing following a Lubbock house fire last week, is now behind bars.

You may recall the fire last Wednesday at 5012 44th Street, when Kay Clarkin came home to discover her house in flames and her husband missing.

Ronald Clarkin was found wandering a few miles from home the day after the fire, and he was arrested the day after that. Thursday night, he remains in the Lubbock County Jail.

Fire Investigator Andy Lawson says Clarkin will likely be charged with felony arson.
