Coronado baseball team invites fans to state sendoff

The Coronado Mustangs baseball team would like to say "thank you" to their fans for the support they've provided this season. 

The team invites fans to join them in celebrating their Region 1 Championship Tuesday at 5 p.m. at O'Banion Field, 5518 Marsha Sharp Freeway. 

Coach Gary Hix will review the playoff run and preview the state tournament in Austin. Congressman Randy Neugebauer will make a presentation to the team at 5:15 p.m. 

The team will depart for Austin from the Coronado High School parking lot at 3307 Vicksburg at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. The public is encouraged to turn out and wish the Mustangs well as they leave for the state tournament.
