DALLAS (AP) - Adam Cracknell got his first hat trick in seven NHL seasons and the Dallas Stars handed the San Jose Sharks their fifth straight loss, 6-1 Friday night. The Sharks entered two points ahead of Anaheim and Edmonton in the Pacific Division despite their longest losing streak of the season. Dallas' Kari Lehtonen made 20 saves four nights after shutting out San Jose.

HOUSTON (AP) - James Harden scored 38 points, including eight down the stretch, and tied a career high with 17 assists to help the Houston Rockets pull away for a 117-107 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans Friday night. Harden scored Houston's first points in almost 2 1/2 minutes after that on a driving layup to extend the lead.

NEW YORK (AP) - Sindarius Thornwell scored 24 points and seventh-seeded South Carolina cruised past third-seeded Baylor 70-50 on Friday night in the East Regional semifinals, the Bears' worst NCAA Tournament loss. Johnathan Motley had 18 points, 12 in the second half, for Baylor, which just couldn't get any offense going.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Nina Davis scored 21 points to help top-seeded Baylor defeat Louisville 97-63 on Friday to advance to the Elite Eight. The Lady Bears were a Number 1 seed in 2013 when they lost to Louisville in the Sweet 16 in Oklahoma City. They played much better defense this time.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Erica McCall had 23 points and 12 rebounds, Karlie Samuelson scored 15 points and Stanford outlasted Texas for a 77-66 victoryFriday night to reach the Lexington Region final of the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinal out-rebounded the third-seeded Longhorns 41-35 to earn its second straight Elite Eight appearance, and will face top-seeded Notre Dame in Sunday's regional final.
