Sunday rollover sends two to the hospital

Two people are hospitalized after a rollover on the Slaton Highway on Sunday. DPS Troopers say 23-year-old William Hunn of Slaton was west bound on Highway 84 when his left rear tire blew out.

The blowout caused Hunn to lose control, flipping his 2000 Ford Explorer multiple times. Troopers at the scene, say Hunn barely missed hitting the telephone poll. Hunn and his front passenger, 24-year-old Shobia Ruben, were taken by ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries. Hunn's brother who was in the back seat was not injured.

Troopers are going to continue the investigation the accident due to the fact that last week the vehicle had passed inspection, but the tread on the tires were extremely low.
