LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The second person named as a primary suspect in a double homicide in east Lubbock County stands indicted for forgery.  Tuesday, a Lubbock County Grand Jury decided there is enough evidence to send Meredith Ledbetter, 28, to jail for the charge.

Meredith, along with Casey Ledbetter, 37, are accused in the deaths of Joanie Parker and her son Derek Hale. Their bodies were discovered on a vacant property southeast of Idalou towards the end of May.

Last week, Lubbock County Grand Jury indicted Casey Ledbetter on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

Authorities told KCBD they planned to present their case against the Ledbetters for the double homicide this week. Official charges for the double homicide have not been filed.
