Ken Walker
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Former Lubbock Police Chief Ken Walker is now one of the top three candidates for the chief job in Galveston. According to westUnews.com, 55-people applied for the job. Galveston's interim city manager is expected to make a final decision later this week.
Walker has most recently served as chief of police for West University Place near Houston. He resigned under pressure as part of a settlement with the city of Lubbock. That followed the death of Sergeant Kevin Cox, who was accidentally shot and killed by a fellow officer during a SWAT stand-off back in 2001.
