Mother of missing teen pleads no contest to false report

COLORADO CITY, TX (KCBD) -

Billie Dunn, the mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, will reportedly serve probation for a charge of making a false report.  Abilene television station KTXS reports that Dunn pleaded no contest to the charge Wednesday.

Mitchell County authorities arrested Dunn in March, after they say she lied about the whereabouts of Shawn Adkins. Adkins was Billie Dunn's live-in boyfriend at the time of Hailey's disappearance, and has since been named a suspect in the case.

According to the KTXS report, Dunn received a year of probation, and she has moved from Colorado City to the Austin area where she will serve her probation. As part of the plea agreement, authorities dropped additional charges against Dunn.

Meanwhile, efforts continue to find Hailey, who's been missing now for more than six months.
