LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Some economists predict gas prices will continue on a downward trend. Wednesday afternoon, KCBD saw prices in Lubbock ranging between $3.45 and $3.52.
Analysts say drivers are using less - by cutting back and driving more fuel efficient cars. Oil stockpiles in the U.S. are said to be plentiful right now, and OPEC countries are arguing about whether to cut or raise the supply.
Wednesday, the national average cost for a gallon of gasoline was $3.69. One economist says a national average of $3.50 a gallon by July 4th is a real possibility.
With Lubbock prices typically below the national average, that could mean even more savings here.
