Prosecutors want the attorney for Lubbock's nationally known terror suspect, Khalid Aldawsari, 21, to turn over evidence. They filed a motion Wednesday.
Prosecutors have already been ordered to turn over evidence to Aldawsari. He cannot be forced to testify at trial but in the federal court system a defendant must let prosecutors see evidence that will be presented at trial so that they have an opportunity to examine and challenge it.
Aldawsari is accused of assembling the ingredients necessary for a chemical bomb in his central Lubbock apartment. Court records say his targets included the home of former President George W. Bush. The trial date is set for January of 2012.
