Two men charged in a weekend shooting death are now behind bars. 41-year-old Daniel Jimenez turned himself in to police around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Just hours earlier, Sheriff's Deputies arrested 48-year-old Juan Luna. Both men are charged with the murder of Ernesto Cabrera. Witnesses identified Jimenez as the shooter but placed Luna at the scene of the crime.
Cabrera was found in the parking lot of a real-estate office in the 2100 block of 50th, Sunday night. He died shortly thereafter at University Medical Center.
Witnesses say the shots were fired from a vehicle, in the parking lot of a nearby auto parts store.
