"American Tribute" Helps Area Nursing Schools

Patriotism is going a long way, in the form of nursing scholarships. On Wednesday, American State Bank presented a $100,000 check to the scholarship funds of four local schools of nursing.

The check was made possible by the sales of the American Flags sold during Lubbock's "American Tribute" memorial in Kastman park. ASB sold all 3,412 and then hundreds more from a similar tribute in Midland.

Flags are still available for $25 each. You can purchase one from the American State Bank on Avenue Q.
