LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
State regulators say they disciplined three Lubbock doctors and one Levelland doctor last week.
The Texas Medical Board says Dr. Michael Balch agreed to pay a $3,000 fine for failure to follow guidelines for prescribing a dangerous drug.
The Texas Medical Board says Dr. David Keith Hagstrom agreed to complete 24 hours of medical education. The board says he prescribed narcotics to a known drug abuser.
The Texas Medical Board says Dr. Diego Rivera agreed to pay a $3,000 fine for not following guidelines when prescribing pain medication.
The Texas Medical Board says Dr. Harry T. Weaver, Jr. of Levelland agrees to pay a $5,000 fine and to take anger management training. Dr. Weaver is accused of hitting a family member while he was intoxicated.
