LUBBOCK,TX (KCBD) -
In Lubbock a post office might be getting renamed soon. Congressman Randy Neugebauer will be introducing a bill to the house to consider renaming the U.S. Post Office on Gary Avenue as the "Sergeant Chris Davis Post Office."
The bill has been introduced to honor army Sergeant Chris Davis, a soldier from Lubbock who was killed in combat on June 23rd of 2007 in Baghdad.
In a statement, Neugbauer said: "We must remember those who fought for our freedom, and paid the ultimate price like Chris Davis. We have liberty and freedom today because thousands of military men and women have given of themselves to defend our nation in time of need."
