Drive-By Shooting Puts Lubbock Teen Behind Bars

A drive-by shooting leaves one Lubbock teenager behind bars and two others with gun-shot wounds. 18-year-old Joshua Hill was sitting in his car in the parking lot of Timber Ridge apartments near 82nd and University when he was hit by a bullet in the neck and face around 11 Thursday night.

A stray pellet from the same shot, hit 19-year-old David Couture who was standing on an apartment balcony. Both shots were fired from a truck that drove by the apartments. EMS treated the victims for minor injuries.

Within the hour, police arrested 19-year-old Zachary Combs in a trailer park at 1715 90th street. Police say Combs admitted to being the shooter. Hill says Combs had tried to start fights with him in the past. Combs is charged now with aggravated assault.
