In this week's Food for Thought, Jack in the Box jumps out on top in their return to the Hub City. "We've come back with a boom and hopefully better than ever," manager AJ Cervantez tells us. For a complete list of scores and violations please, clickhere.
The location at 98th and Slide winds up a perfect score, "With all the training that Jack provides for all of us, as long as we follow the guidelines it's a really easy job."
AJ credits his team for their success, but with so many choices he's actually a little modest about what it takes to keep the kitchen clean.
"From Asian food, to Spanish food, to American food... we have a great variety of items on our menu. I think that's what sets us apart from other restaurants," AJ says.
He says that's one of the differences that sets them apart from other restaurants.
"Mom could want tacos, dad could want American and maybe the little ones want grilled cheese. We have a great variety, and I think that's what separates us; we also serve breakfast all day long."
We fly on over to our next top performer. The Wing Stop at 1803 7th Street soars through their latest inspection with a perfect score.
And finally, mom would be proud. Hijo's Hot Spot at 313 N. Detroit heats up the Food for Thought list with zero critical violations.
