Fourth on Broadway boasts full slate of activities

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Despite a fireworks ban and the subsequent cancellation of the annual fireworks display and concert at Mackenzie Park, most Fourth on Broadway events will continue as planned this year.

On Sunday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m., the Lubbock Apartment Association Street Dance will feature the Casey Donahew Band with opening performances by William Clark Green and Hat Trick on the street at Broadway & Texas Avenue. Tickets are available at Select-a-Seat and at the gate.

On Monday, July 4, the Wells Fargo Street Fair returns from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Music stages will be open from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Covenant Kids Area and College Baseball Hall of Fame FanFest will be held at the First Baptist Church east parking lot from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The McDougal Companies Parade will proceed down Broadway from Avenue Q to University Avenue from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday.

UMC Early Settler's Luncheon will also be held Monday at Broadway Church of Christ from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
