Abernathy ISD to dedicate new gym Sunday - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Abernathy ISD is hosting an open house Sunday from 2-5:30 p.m. at Abernathy High School, 609 Avenue H, to show the public its new gym, new high school classrooms, and all renovations of the existing high school. 

In May 2009, voters approved a $15.9 million bond, and construction started in June 2010.  The gym and high school improvements cost $10,000,000.

All past state basketball champions will be honored.  This includes teams from 1958, 1959, 1980, 1981, 1984, 1986, and 1991.  Program begins at 2:30 p.m.
