Tech offers more scholarships to community college transfers

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Texas Tech is providing some much needed relief for Texas families trying to put a son or daughter through college.

The university has announced half a million dollars in new scholarship money for community college transfer students.

The 2011 Presidential Transfer Scholarship provides $5,000 over two years to students who maintain full-time enrollment and a 3.0 GPA at Texas Tech's Lubbock campus.
