The chairman of the Lubbock County Republican Party is resigning his position.
Thursday afternoon, Dan Isett announced he was stepping down as chairman for personal business reasons, including a possible move from Lubbock. While Isett said he has no immediate plans to leave Lubbock, he said he was stepping down now to avoid having the position empty during the primary election season.
Isett's resignation takes effect November 1st.
