Earlier this month, preliminary testing of a Lubbock woman came back positive for the Hantavirus. Now the Texas Health Department in Austin says that wasn't the case.
Hantavirus is a potentially deadly disease that can be inhaled through aerolized mouse droppings. The woman told doctors that she had come into contact with such droppings, and became ill days later.
The Lubbock Health Department says these latest tests are conclusive, and the woman has since recovered.
