The Texas Tech Athletics Department has announced a reduction in football season ticket prices in two sections inside Jones AT&T Stadium for the 2011 season.
Acknowledging the economic climate and an unforeseen drought that has been burdensome on our state, Texas Tech Athletics is implementing a Red Raider Rollback on season tickets in two sections for the upcoming year. Season ticket prices in sections 113 and 114 are being "rolled back" to 2010 levels, from $189 to $149.
The seats in these sections at the $149 level were the first to sell out in 2010.
"We had tremendous response to the $149 priced season tickets in 2010," said Kirby Hocutt, Director of Athletics. "We recognize that the current economic uncertainty coupled with the strain placed on our area farmers has caused many to think twice on where they spend their dollars. We don't want ticket prices to inhibit Red Raider families. So today we are instituting a price roll back in sections 113 and 114."
Fans that have already purchased at the $189 price in sections 113 and 114 are being offered their choice of a refund or applying that overage to additional tickets. Students wishing to take advantage of the 20% discount offered to current Tech students who have paid their athletic fee can now purchase at 20% off the $149 price in sections 113 and 114 making their season tickets only $120 (limit two per ID). Faculty and staff can also take advantage of the 20% discount in these sections, making their ticket price $120.
Fans who have not purchased season tickets are encouraged to order today by calling (806)742-TECH or 1-888-GO BIG 12. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.texastech.com/tickets.
