Lamesa man arrested after getting 15 pounds of pot in the mail

One resident in Lamesa is in jail today after a morning drug bust last Friday.

40-year-old Emiliano Gonzalez , Jr. was arrested on third degree felony charges for possession of marijuana.

Gonzalez was listed as living in Roma, but had been staying in Lamesa.

That's where police say he had received a package in the mail which contained approximately 15 pounds of marijuana.

Gonzalez is now being held in a Dawson County jail on $25,000 bond.

If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
