LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

In this week's Food for Thought, these two young mothers walked away from their daytime jobs to design deserts. The brand new bakery Sweet Cheeks is making its debut on Food for Thought at the top.

"We can make anything. We are desert designers," explained Jessica Myatt, co-owner of Sweet Cheeks Bakery.  It started as a dream. Myatt, a former nurse and Lacey Nobles, a former television news producer walked away from their day jobs to open the shop.

Between the two they have 7 children, so naturally their families are a big influence for the name of the bakery. Sweet Cheeks.  With smiles on their face, the two say their children all had precious chubby cheeks.

"We wanted something fun and creative because we are creative people and it is a creative way to support our families," added Myatt.

These owners use Facebook and Twitter to let their new customers know about the daily flavors. Each day is different from champagne flavored cupcakes and mini pies to cake balls. While their doors have only been open for two weeks, a majority of their customers say they learned about the bakery through social media.

"If we fail it is on our shoulders. If we succeed it is because we made it happen," said Lacey Nobles about their new business located at 3017 34th Street.

"It's important for people to know we are doing our best to keep our kitchen clean," added Myatt.
