Harry Potter fans in Lubbock enjoy the midnight premier of the final Harry Potter movie

A decade long movie event is coming to an end. The final Harry Potter movie officially opens in theaters Friday.

Dozens of fans attended the midnight premiere of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows; part two' just after midnight at the Tinseltown Theater, at 82nd and University.

With the final movie here many fans were sad to see the end of the books that they've been reading since they were kids. "Yeah, it's definitely sad because cause its been most of our lives. I mean, I've been reading the books since I was 9, been aging with the characters. We've been going along with the stories too, basically.," says Joshua Servantez who enjoyed the midnight premier.

Many of the fans spent the past two days watching a marathon of the first 7 Harry Potter films before the midnight release. You can find a link to show times just go to kcbd.com or you can clickhere.
