Family-friendly 'Melodrama' returns to Wagner Park

Parks and Recreation and CATS Playhouse are pleased to present this year's production of Melodrama in the Park on Thursday-Saturday, July 21-23, 2011, at Wagner Park.

This year's melodrama is "Last Chance Inn, Calamity Gulch" by Whitney Ryan Garrity and co-directed by Mickie Klafka and Whitney Ryan Garrity. This production is suitable for all age groups, and kids especially love the interaction between the hero, the lady in distress and the dastardly villain! All Melodrama shows begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly and are free to the public.

Prior to Melodrama each evening at 6:30 p.m., CATS Playhouse will also be presenting "Antic Spring" by Robert Nail and directed by Patrick Jones. This short, one-act play is a comedy about six teens and their hilarious adventures on a picnic. This is also a free event!

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and picnics and experience great theater out under the West Texas sky! Wagner Park is located at 28th Street and Flint Avenue. For additional information, contact CATS Playhouse at (806) 792-0501
