Xcel expansion will provide enough electricity for 600,000 homes - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

If state regulators in both Texas and New Mexico give the ok, Xcel Energy will expand operations at its Jones Power Station,which is just outside of Lubbock.

An industry trade publication says the expansion will cost more than $117 million dollars. Once the expansion is complete the Lubbock Power Plant will provide enough electricity for 600,000 homes.
