Autopsy results in the death of a Levelland baby were completed this week, now a Hockley County Grand Jury is ready to hear the case.
Melanie Marie Rodriguez died on July 30, 2003 while under the care of her 18-year-old mother, Angela Zamora, and Zamora's 21-year-old boyfriend, Frankie Vustan. Autopsy results indicate that the child died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck, but that she could have also died from suffocation. Melanie also suffered bruising to the scalp, lips, and torso.
The case will go before the Hockley County Grand Jury November 13th.
