4th and Ave. A will be closed beginning Wednesday morning - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Drivers in northeast Lubbock need to watch out for some big changes. Beginning Wednesday, TXDOT will close Avenue A to traffic at 4th street.

Drivers will be diverted onto Broadway or the new northbound I-27 exit ramp on the Marsha Sharp Freeway. Crews will also remove the traffic signals at 4th and Avenue A. The closure is expected to last six to eight weeks.
